KICKSTART by bdecent

  • Welcome to our Kickstart demo site!

Have a look around and test-drive all the features of Kickstart and Kickstart Pro.

We've created three demo accounts for you. Please log in with all of them to see Kickstart in action from different perspectives – the student, the teacher and the creator. The username is always the name of the role (e.g. student or creator), the password for all is just "moodle"

    Role Description
    Student
    student / moodle

Use the student account to see kickstart from a learning perspective. The main thing you can test with this account is that you will see a fallback message in courses where you are enrolled, but the teacher has not yet added any content. If a teacher is already assigned to the course, the student can contact the teacher and see the teacher's profile.
    Teacher
    teacher / moodle

Use the teacher account to see kickstart from a teaching perspective. The main thing you can test with this account is that you can choose a template when you open the courses which has been created for you by your organization. Please note that the demo courses for teachers are reset every 15 minutes!
    Creator
    creator / moodle

Use the (course) creator account to see kickstart from a more administrative perspective. The main thing you can test with this account is how to create a course, assign a teacher or use the template system yourself.

We can also highly recommend to sign up for your own account – we'll upgrade it to the desired role(s) upon request (e.g. in the live chat). This will enable you to create courses which will only be visible for you.

If you have further questions, you can book a demo with us easily.

How to create a template

Creating a template is easy.

First, create a course like you want the template to look & work.

Then, make sure that you remove everything which you don't want in the template. Typically, you don't want any enrolled users and dummy data. We recommend working with placeholders.

When you're ready, create a backup of your course and download the .mbz file.

Go to the template management page, give your template a title, description, tags, a preview URL (could be the course you created the template with) and the .mbz file.

If you're using pro, you can configure the access to the template.
